Fulfilling wishes at a run

It all began with a wish: 8-year-old Zsófia from Gecse, a small village in western Hungary, is a very cheerful girl waiting for bone marrow donors. Due to her current condition and her treatments, she is forced to stay in hospital all the time. Her biggest wish is an Xbox One gamepad to distract herself. Hoping that her wish could be fulfilled, she turned to the Csodalámpa Foundation.

The mission of the Csodalámpa (Magic Lamp) Wish Fulfilling Foundation: 3 to 18-year-old children who suffer from a life-threatening disease and whose families normally cannot afford to fulfill a wish. Individuals and employees of companies supporting the activities of "Magic Lamp" have initiated a movement called "Magic Bugs": As "Magic Bugs" they take part in big running events. A real "win-win situation": The runners do their favourite sport and collect donations for the foundation at the same time.

The employees of PHOENIX Hungary decided to help Zsófia. They started in eight teams at the "25th K&H Full and Half Marathon" on 10 June 2018. Six colleagues ran the whole marathon, seven teams a half. Despite the hot weather that day, they collected the necessary amount to fulfill Zsófia's wish.

The campaign took place for the fourth time in 2018. The Magic Bugs for Péter (intelligent television), Nándi (ASUS transformer laptop) and Máté (television) had been running in the previous years.
